NEW YORK. Loui Eriksson becoming Boston’s real game killer.
He decided in overtime last night again – for the second time in four days.
– It was just as good this time. I hope it has come off for real now, he says Sportbladet after 4-3 victory over Buffalo.
There has been a bit up and down Loui Eriksson since he came to Boston from Dallas last year.
Last year’s season, he was, in part, destroyed by two concussions – and during this autumn has been sluggish as well for him as for all other Boston bears.
But now the 29-year-old from Gothenburg again recall the sniper Dallas Stars opponents constantly feared for so many years.
As recently as Wednesday, he decided a fight against Minnesota in sudden death – and 2:14 into overtime period in the night’s home game against Buffalo was time again.
– I had just come in and at the same time made the Sabres a change. Chara and Lucic perceived that I had speed, so they made sure I got the puck and I came loose in a neutral position, says Loui when we reach him after the judgment.
– It was just as good as last time. It’s nice to score a few goals again, I hope it loose for real now.
“Fun to be praised”
It seems
– Loui have heard of our best players at the end. Tonight he played great, I used him, he says to nhl.com.
Glad to hear, right?
– Yes, it’s always fun to get praise from the coach. I started and ended with Chris Kelly and Carl today, but also played with Krejci and Lucic for a while and I think it felt good then too.
At Buffalo was the recent rapid deployment Johan Larsson for an assist – and Jhonas Enroth stopped 33 shots.
– They had had a tough match yesterday, but bade still on good horses and Enroth made some really good saves. But overall, I think we were better team on the ice and deservedly won, says the match hero Eriksson.
