Volvo Cars dumps all sponsorships – except their own event Volvo Ocean Race Dagens Industri. Thereby releasing the automaker all connections to motor sport.
– Motorsport does not fit with our brand, which we account for smaller motors and safety. We pull out why, for example, STCC as soon as contracts allow, says Volvo Cars Marketing Manager Alain Visser to Dagens Industri.
Volvo Cars shy away also from all auto shows but three – Geneva, Detroit and Shanghai / Beijing. Instead thinks invest in its own annual event.
