Irene Ekelund has accelerated slowly in the major championships. But in the European Indoor Championships, she hopes to celebrate her 18th birthday with running their first finals. – Now I feel that I’m in the game, says Ekelund.

– Now I feel that I’m in it all. Then it was on the border, it was just that I qualified. Now I feel that I have been running a bit below the qualification and that I am in the game. So it feels much better now, she says.
Ekelund, who turns 18 at the European Championship final is decided tomorrow, set a new personal best and plastered while his Swedish junior record when she won the Championship for 7.26 two weeks ago.

– I’ll try to run as I ran, then I am happy. Maybe a little faster. The shape is very good.
How long can it last?
