After working out the change – expert saw Leksand: “A great failure” – Dalarna Tidningar

Jumbo Hockeyallsvenskan and only seven wins in the 24 preliminary rounds. Leksands autumn has been, to say the least, a big miscalculation from the club side that aimed to be among the eight best teams.

On Monday confirmed the LIF to the drop Sjur Robert Nilsen and Johan Rosén with immediate effect. Bad news, like Sanny Lindstrom.

– It is sad that it has come here. He has come in at the wrong time when Leksand is in free fall, and the team is felbyggt if you look at today’s hockey. It is an uphill law. Then they should not be where they are, but they’ve had a lot of pressure on himself, he says of the sport.

Sjur Robert Nilsen, who took over from Andreas Appelgren last season, has a good reputation among players and officials in the Hockey Sweden. Precisely because Lindstrom do not think it will be a problem for Norwegian to find a new employer.

– I have heard very good things about Sjur Robert from players and hockey people who worked with him. I think he has a great hockey future for themselves and I think he needs to find a club that suits him better.

Error teams at the wrong time for him then?

– really hard to say when we do not know everything. But when a coach is kicked, it is a failure for all involved. I myself have been in the seat as players and it is a failure for the whole squad. And that is a great failure for the organization to invest in our Sjur Robert, and also for Sjur Robert himself.

Is it right to make the change now or would Leksand expected?

– It’s so hard to comment. Have the players stopped listening to him there is no other way, but it only knows the players. I do not think so, but if it is so is no other way. Another thing they could have done was to restructure the team,

but there are not so many players in the market and it is not easy to build on the team during the season. A natural thing is to do away with the coach.
