Northugs new dig – went to Sweden robe – Expressen

Bruksvallarna / STOCKHOLM. Length season has started.

And thus also Petter Northugs taunts, jibes and gestures with and against Sweden.

Today, when 29-year-old stakes in the way in Bruksvallarna, he did it in a blue and yellow dress.

– He is half Swedish fact, says coach Stig Rune Kveen to VG.

Petter Northug were the starting grid when races at 10 km was held in Bruksvallarna. And as so often retired Norwegian victory.

Northug was clocked at 23.43 – which is 36 seconds better than Jimmie Johnson. But it was not Northugs victory that became the focal point in Bruksvallarna, but his attire.

Northug bar, namely, a ski suit in blue and yellow, a pass to one of his greatest obsessions: the Swedish nation.

“Some look at it with hatred”

Northug told of his coup for the assembled press in Bruksvallarna. But he did not explain his motivation behind DON Swedish colors.

– There is a difference in how people look at it. Some look at it with hatred, others with love. It will be up tlll each one to decide, said Northug.
How do you see yourself in it?
– I place me in one of the trays. People may choose yourself.

The victory la Northug did not much importance.

– Not really. It was good training. It’s just training. I just had a job here and it was time to complete the race. The result means the nothing, it would have been enough to tenth place in Beitostölen.

Earlier today published Northug a post on his video blog in which he showed off the costume.

– In Sweden and Bruksvallarnas honor, I have made my own costume with my club colors, which might remind some of the Swedish flag, says Northug according to Dagbladet.

“He is half Swedish”

The coach Stig Rune Kveen has his own theory about what is behind Northugs fascination

for Sweden and just Bruksvallarna – and it involves the Norwegian’s parents John and May.

– I think I’ve found out that both John and May was actually here on the mountain top race in April 1985. And we know what happened in January 1986. That was when Petter was born, says Kveen VG .

– He is half Swedish.

And the Swedish skier Emil Jönsson encourage Northug changing nationality.

– We refer to like him. He is most welcome. We can offer food and shelter. We may need him, says Jönsson.
