Britain won the Davis Cup – Murray decided – Aftonbladet

World number two Andy Murray decided the Davis Cup.

Thus took the UK title for the first time in 79 years.

– I can not believe we have done it, said Murray victory interview.

Andy Murray won against Belgian David Goffin in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, 6 -3, and was thus able to secure victory after impregnable 3-1 in matches.

It was the first time since 1936 that Britain won the title.

Murray unbeaten

Britain is the only country who has been involved in all tournaments since 1900 and today’s title was the tenth in history.

The team’s star, 28-year-old Murray is unbeaten in this year’s edition.

– I can hardly believe it’s true. I did not believe this. But I play my best tennis when I play for my country, ‘said Murray on Centre Court after the victory.

Murray, McEnroe and Mats Wilander is the only three players who had a single hindsight at 8-0 since the elite division in 1981 .
