Leksand fell hard against Asplöven weekend. After fourth straight loss called coach Sjur Robert Nilsen meeting with the club management.

Now it is clear that he is fired.

Leksand presented the news on its website on Monday. “After three straight losses last week, and now the last place in the Hockey Allsvenskan, the association, Sjur Robert Nilsen and Johan Rosén by consensus agreed to Sjur and Johan resigns as coach of Leksands IF.” Writes the club on its website.

– Sjur Robert Nilsen is not just a good coach, but also a great human being. Sjur Robert puts the club and the team before themselves. Perhaps new training voices have a positive effect, says Leksands IF’s Deputy CEO Tore Jobs.

Presents new coach immediately

It has been speculated that Skellefteås J20 coach to take over and the parties have been in contact, but should not have agreed.

Now it is clear that Per-Erik “Perra” Johnsson takes over Leksand. To help get his club icon Magnus “Sigge” Smith and Gereon Dahlgren.

– Perra Johnsson has, among other things, a strength that he is very good at getting together a group where he gets all fighting together, and Sigge will be very useful for us in terms of support for our backs. Gereon Dahlgren is a promising young coach that we firmly believe in. This feels like the right people for Leksands IF, says Jobs.

Johnson, 56, jumped in and took over Modo in January this year when he replaced

the sacked Anders Forsberg and managed – through kvalspel – save Modo left in SHL. He has also coached Farjestad, AIK Skelleftea and Timra in the highest league.
