Sävehof got beat – but Gulldén show World Cup form – Göteborgs-Posten

The national team star Isabelle Gulldén showed good form when her Bucuresti defeated mother club Sävehof in the final group match. It bodes well for the World Cup.

Isabelle Gulldén began his strong play to make 1-0 on penalties – Sävehofs Stine Lund Andreassen said shortly after by an equalizer in the same way.

Then it was evenly over a period – Sävehof did well during the first quarter of an hour, then took the Romanian star of the team and led the break with 13-9.

– I think we started strongly and withstood great defense purposes. Forward lacked fluency, with the penalty miss and some situations where we should have scored. They also had a very good goalkeeper in Pessoa made it difficult for us, says Sävehofs coach Henrik Signell.

In the sports hall in Bucharest on Friday evening home team took more and more into the game and not infrequently it was the former Sävehof- player Isabelle Gulldén who organized Bucurestis game.

Six goals were a total of Gulldén – and a number of ingenious and crowd-pleasing passes which opened for teammates.

– It is only to note; Isabelle Gulldén was very good and means a lot for their team – just as she does in the Swedish national team, which bodes well for the upcoming World Championships in Denmark, says Henrik Signell.

In the second half kept Bucuresti initiative and control the game which in itself did not mean much because both teams are ready to continue playing in the Champions League.

At the end of the second half played Sävehof up and tidied to the figures, among took the World Cup goalkeeper Johanna Bundsen a penalty in the closing seconds.

– I’m very happy with the ethic that the players show, they keep the momentum going and continue to play all the way. In this way, it was an honorable loss, says Signell.
In Sävehof was the foremost Emma Ekenman-Fernis that stood out, a great game that ended with six goals.

– She has developed rapidly in his game and showed great courage with their disrespectful breakthrough, a left-handed högernia who along with Julia Eriksson means a lot of shooting, praises Signell.

Sävehof there has been an intense period with three games in six days, two of which recorded against heavy CL-law.

– In Bucharest we squeezed out the last we had, it was tired bodies and heads after the game. Now waiting for a much needed week free from collective training, says Henrik Signell.
