ES milestone on the road to the Olympics – Helsingborgs Dagblad

The team won a historic first victory in the World Cup in Barcelona and was fourth in the European Championships in Montreux and has for many years been welded together into something that promises more.

– We wanted to London (2012 Olympics) too but the team was not really ready. Now, all the better, we are more consistent and have got together a team that is really good, says Emma Samuelsson, who was last season spoiled by a rupture in the calf with a seven-month hiatus as a result.

At that the calf of the right leg are important body of fence-Emma because it is just that the hind leg as she pushes away when she makes her patented favorite outcome.

She is thus left-handed, which is considered an asset and advantage in the fencing world.

– Left-handed is considered perhaps a bit more difficult to meet because they are less accustomed to meet them, but the fact is that a good many of the world’s elite is left now .

A little bit special detail here is that Emma’s three brothers and a sister all are left-handed, which none of the parents on the other hand is.

– It is actually a little strange.

Emma Samuelsson is the anchor of the team, and usually the one who takes the last match. It is difficult when the opponent also has its best fencer and a match where they may face both world champions and Olympic champions.

– I really like to run it, it’s exciting, says Emma Samuelsson .

Though in Baku is she alone Swedish in the individual competition and she looks the most like a fun thing.

– Yes, I will of course only make the ES, says Emma Samuelsson, who sees the end of his career.

– As it looks now so do I after Rio.
