Gothenburg. Martin Smedberg-Dalence brought Bolivia to the country’s first win in Copa América – in 18 years.
Blåvitts midfielder hailed for success.

With a goal and an assist led IFK Göteborg midfielder Martin Smedberg-Dalence 31, his Bolivia to a 3-2 victory against Ecuador on Monday evening, Swedish time.
It was Bolivia’s first win in Copa América since 1997 – something that has been widely noted.
– Obviously I’m very happy for the win, but it sat hard inside. The feeling afterwards was a great joy but also a relief that we managed to hold on for the win, said Smedberg-Dalence to GT the day after the game.
In the 18th minute put 31-year-old Smedberg-Dalence, who have Swedish mother and a Bolivian father, nicely set 2-0 goal against Ecuador.
– I knew right away when I hit the ball that it would go into the goal, he says.
Reactions have been many. On Twitter, Blåvitt midfielder praised for his performance.
