After nine months of sailing came Martin Strömberg home to Gothenburg.
– It has been indescribable. And as long as the finish in Gothenburg, I will be happy again, he laughs.

Nine months of sailing. How is the feeling now?
– It’s very it hard work. Had I not had a leg off, I would have probably been exhausted. For me it’s probably a whole month of sleeping in force now.
What has been the toughest?
– The worst is probably at one goes down all the time. You never get any recovery. Since it is clear that it is hard to always be wet and it does not get much sleep on the boat. There is much that is tough in the race, he said.
So what do you remember best?
– This, I think, ha ha. This will stick in the memory for long. Should we go further back … to come back after breaking the mast was really great. We sailed one hundred percent, broke the mast and all of a sudden as we worked to even get to the starting line. We not only came back and won the next stage. It was great for the whole team.
What does this competition for sailing?
– For me it is one of the three major sailing races in the world . Olympic, America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race. For me it is obvious that trying to be as long as I can. It is the toughest competition you can do in the race.
Well, Martin Strömberg would love again – with a Swedish boat.
– Yes, it is well the next dream. Getting crossing the goal here in Gothenburg with some Swedish guys on board, it would have been really fun.
