Southampton lends the Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg from second division side Fulham. 32-year-old, who guarded the Netherlands’ goals in both the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012, picked up as a backup to the English national team goalkeeper Fraser Forster is knäskadad and may be out until March. In last season’s league seventh Southampton get Stekelenburg, last season on loan at French Monaco, countryman Ronald Koeman as coach.
