Swedish talent get first-team contract – Aftonbladet

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf has long been rumored to be heading to the Malmo FF . So it will not.

The center-back, who had an outgoing contract with Benfica , has now got a new super contract with the Portuguese club, writes Fotbollskanalen.se.

Nilsson Lindelof moved to Benfica age of 17 and has mostly played in the reserve team. But now Benfica invest in 20-year-old. Promotion to the first team and in addition a contract for the next five years.

– It is a good five-year contract and it means that the club believes in me. I have been here for three years and has taken me from the b-side and up into the first team. Priority one has

always been to stay. You get the chance I’ve got now you will take it. If you go as a young man are not many people who get up like this. It is great for me. Now that this is clear so I am aiming hard at taking a regular place in the team, says Nilsson Lindelöf to Fotbollskanalen.se.
