Positive Stenson despite the 13th place – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Last year, Stenson in the lead ball at PGA National, but finished fifth. As the closest to winning the Masters was Stenson 2005, when he fell into a playoff for the victory against Mark Hensby, Australia, at Kungsangen.

– This still gave some positive vibes. I piece that I held it together long game over the weekend, says 39-year-old.

This year’s Masters was Stone’s last competition before the season’s second major – the US Open at Chambers Bay outside Seattle on the US west coast, 18 to 21 June. Before that awaits leave in the summer house in Barsebäck.

– There is little other data there. Now comes the US Open to go on a links course, windy and not very fast either. I will have certainly have had a lot of practice here before Chambers Bay, says Stenson.

He visited tough US Open course a while ago.

– It felt really good to have been there and watched. Links on steroids is a little name on it. There will probably be a little shock of those who get there, says Stenson.
