Ibrahimovic fired Sweden closer PM – Swedish YLE

Sweden took a huge step closer to the European Championships when defeated Montenegro 3-1 at home on Sunday. Sweden’s big star Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice in the game.

Sweden began qualifying match against Montenegro doubtful but at the end of the first half, the team had a very good period and it was enough to win.

In the 38th minute beat Albin Ekdal a fine cross into the penalty area, and there was Marcus Berg, who was able to nod home the shot for Sweden.

Two minutes later, dribbled out Zlatan Ibrahomovic past on the left side and struck a hard low shots that were his behind Vukasin Poleksic in the away goal.

And Zlatan big show was not over yet. Just before the break, he was ahead and made the 3-0, his 56th goal in the national team.

Montenegro scored a consolation goal on a penalty early in the second half but the team was never able to challenge Sweden for victory.

– It was a nice win. We end the first half perfect and in others we just wanted to secure the victory, said Ibrahimovic to SVT after

the game.

After Austria defeated Russia 1-0 Sweden is now very close to the European Championships. The team is second in the group, four points behind number one Austria and four points ahead of third-place Russia.
