Eriksson missed the penalty – a draw in the summit – Göteborgs-Posten

Sebastian Eriksson stepped forward to become determine summit with Djurgarden – but the penalty hit the post.

– It’s no fun feeling, he says .

Djurgården came to Gamla Ullevi with six wins in the last seven matches – and IFK Gothenburg’s form has been equally impressive in recent times. And it was indeed a dense, interesting, tough and actually chansrik 0-0 match.

– They are a good team, and we knew that before. They have found a balance in the team, have done a lot of goals and they have plenty of confidence. But I still believed that we should draw the longest straw, says Sebastian Eriksson.

The match was even from the start, Djurgården took for themselves and threatened with his strong, quick striker. Already one quarter into the game, John Alvbåge forced into two double saves. IFK Gothenburg goalkeeper was sure from the first to the last second.

– One wants to do its part and it is not just about saving the ball into the top corner. So it is clear that it is positive that we are zero, says Alvbåge.

IFK ate themselves into the game and created several good chances. The absolute best came after Emil Salomonsson ran away, he broke into the penalty area, convicted – and received sentences.

Sebastian Eriksson, who sat two penalties this season, putting the ball on the penalty spot.

– As every time I had decided what I wanted to do and went hard for it. This time, took the post, says Eriksson.

In the final minutes were Jakob Ankersen a giant position, but did not order on their feet – and the match ended goalless.

– I am very disappointed . But somehow it’s a go feeling to be angry and frustrated when you take a point and leads the series. One can not determine all the matches in the 93rd minute, says Sebastian Eriksson.

As the central defender Thomas Rogne taken a stomach bug got veteran Hjalmar Jonsson jump into. Still managed to IFK Gothenburg shutouts again – against one of the show’s målgladaste law.

– We are stable backwards, but we usually do not go scoreless from here. It is what feels extra heavy, said John Alvbåge.

Gustav Svensson:

– It feels pretty damn hard. Djurgården is probably the toughest team we met but we created enough to win. It really feels like we lost two points today.

Already on Thursday slamming it at Gamla Ullevi again. Then the series runner-up Elfsborg visit.

– Then it will go off, says John Alvbåge.
