Mats Zuccarello had bleeding in the brain – Expressen

Mats Zuccarello missed all matches except five of the New York Rangers in the playoffs.

Now, he says he suffered, among other things, a broken blood vessel in the brain.

He also goes by a speech therapist after he lost the power of speech for four days.

– I could not talk at the beginning and it was scary, says Zucarello according to the NY Daily News.

The New York Rangers were no chance to reach the Stanley Cup when they lost the conference final against Tampa Bay.

– I do not know what you know, but I had a little fracture in the skull. I lost the power of speech and the feeling in my arm. I was in hospital for three days, says Zuccarello according to the NY Daily News.



Dropped speech

In addition to the ruptured blood vessel, he told me that he could not talk in four days, he received a skull fracture and that he could not move his arm.

Although he regained the power of speech, he continues to walk with a speech therapist.

– I could not talk for a while, I had a contusion and a little blood in the brain and the affected part and I went to a speech therapist. I could not say a word in four days, but now I feel better and it gets better and better.



Will recover

According to the doctors who examined Zuccarello he will fully recover and be ready to play next season.

Zuccarello returned to the ice during the last days of the season and trained with the team, although he was not allowed to go into some rough. There was a small hope that he could play in a possible final but there’s nothing he puts any great time to think about now, he says.
