Erik Hamrén wants a Danish killer, but first you have to survive.
Step one went the way.
Step two on the road to France ? To tiptoe past France’s most meanest football feet.
The entire inner midfielders? Exciting scorers? A left-back options?
Yes, but when Erik Hamrén stepped up to the podium to release what may be his very last landslagstrupp it was obvious that he was looking for one thing most of all:
The right feeling.
He wanted to be an optimist, he wanted to radiate confidence, he said that “now is the time, I have a strong feeling for it,” and he made it through an entire press conference without lose your temper.
He dug through a 111 years deep hole in search of feeling:
– It’s stuff like this that sportsmen and women working for, to be with if this kind of thing. In the past it was called “Danish killer”, and I had a player who juniortränare in Sundsvall, whose grandfather was called Danish killer. We’ll see who gets it now, he said.
Sweden a little over dog
In 1983 Erik Hamrén Swedish champion in football, and even though it was a junior gold was also a historic success: The first national championships as a Norrland teams ever taken on the men’s side.
A year reunited IFK Sundsvall mästargäng together before a touched Erik Hamrén during a stunt, one of them is Lars Ericsson, the grandson of John ” Danish killer “Ericsson scored four goals and downgraded Denmark 1934th
Sweden beat Denmark in the U21 European Championships last summer and became European champion. Sweden beat Denmark in the F19 European Championship last summer and became the European champion. Sweden coach has once again trained his grandson to a Danish killer.
So this will probably be the way.
Oh.
Sweden will go out as a small the dog for the matches against Denmark, and there is no changing of the Emir Kujović (reasonably solely intended as Zlatan reserve or måljaktsavbytare in a situation when to lift the ball to the last quarter in Moscow) or Oscar Hiljemark (itself written in a squad, highly topical for a starting location) picked up or that Ludwig Augustinsson (Sweden’s best left-back) and Oscar Wendt (first challenger) is excluded.
Three Swedes airports in Denmark
It may seem like a sideshow that Erik Hamrén – with three-piece suit, handkerchief in the breast pocket and SvFF-pin in his lapel – orients itself through a press conference with the smile intact, but to convey that feeling is one of his most important tasks in the coming week.
He must think, he must have a line and believe it.
I have been easier for him when he selects his players or the game model and trust them, although I do not agree. It is when he is moody swings here and there that I quotidian my chainsaw.
This kind of football duels is more than anything else to localize their advantages and mask its drawbacks.
Sweden, perhaps only three players (Isaksson, Lustig, Ibrahimovic) that had taken place in a Danish eleven, but they face a Denmark that lacks the offensive movement that frees Christian Eriksen throughout the artist’s palette.
Benefit One: Wins Andreas Granqvist duel game against Bendtner Sweden will get their chances.
Benefit two: Hamrén know Morten Olsen will play his 4-3-3. Olsen can not be completely sure if Hamrén play 4-5-1 or 4-4-2. There is an advantage.
Benefit Three? It looks both Erik Hamrén and everyone else in the world:
– Denmark has many talented players, but we have a superstar.
Sweden has, for better or worse, put this team in Zlatan Ibrahimovic hands. He is a superstar, he is the one who can possibly scare a Denmark which had very easy for Sweden during Hamrén era.
France’s ugliest football
If the Dane’s afraid of Ibrahimovic should Hamrén be afraid … Toulouse.
This weekend runs Sweden’s only world star in order to meet France’s ugliest football team, which is also frustrated.
TFC has racked up more straight deportations than any other teams in Ligue 1 in recent years, only in the fall, they kicked to the four bright red cards. Anyone who follows the French league knows that a jaded TFC can be both violent and reckless.
Hamrén’s probably more Hälsingborgs than religious, but I guess he says a prayer before kickoff.
If I were a coach I had, in addition to pray to a higher power, tried to find that the thing between the 4-5-1 (which seals the defensive) and 4-4-2 (that gives the play opportunities) that requires both organizational clarity and inhuman efforts.
Isaksson – Lustig, Johansson, Granqvist, Olsson – Durmaz, Hiljemark, Källström, Forsberg – Ibrahimovic, Mountain.
Let Marcus Berg run as both midfielder and striker as long as he can. Send in John Guidetti to do about it when Berg can not be bothered anymore.
But first of all – let’s get home a lot Zlatan, s’il vous plaît.
Then, we talk tactics and strategy all week long.
