Emil von Barth took Sweden’s first championship medal for men at 77 years in the 100 meters when he ran into the sensational third place in the junior championship up to 19 years in Eskilstuna.

It was a historic 100-meters final at the Junior European Championships. Three Swedes in the final of a championship has never happened before.

Three Britons were also on the starting line. They had the top three personal records, followed by the Swedish trio.

 
        
             
     
     
 

One of the Swedes managed to break into the British. Surprisingly, it was he with the worst personal record that managed best.

Emma Stenlöf was not a perfect förstadag of sjukampen. Therefore she began the second day in fifth place. But after 5.81 in length she climbed, before the full meeting came in the javelin.
