Last night it became clear that the Swedish F19-national football team is ready for the European Championship final after a semi-final thriller against Germany. Big game hero became Sirius goalkeeper Emma Holmgren, who saved two of four German shootout.
– It feels incredibly good and nice that we are in the final, says Sirius goalkeeper on a phone cord from Israel the day after the final game.
– It feels really great and it’ll be great fun, she says.
Emma Holmgren was with and took silver in the F17-national team for two years ago. Now she is hoping for revenge – and it is only gold that comes on Monday where Sweden meets Spain or France.
– There’s only gold, she says. We will win!
