Before the final against Spain had Stina Black Stenius made 18 goals overall in the European Championship qualifying and championship tournaments together – new goal record under a single European Championships.
In the evening wrote the 19-year-old history again when she was with two goals downgraded Spain and led Sweden to the European Championships.

– This is something we have been fighting for a very long time. We had hopes of going all the way but it was hard to imagine that it would actually be so, it’s just so much fun.
The national coach for the Swedish A-team, Pia Sundhage, was impressed 19-year-old striker.
