Done: Wiland to the MFF – Aftonbladet

Malmo FF has solved keeper crisis after Zlatan Azinovic injury yesterday.

In today presented Johan Wiland as the new MFF-keeper.

– I has come up a bit in age but still has the hunger to go, says Wiland in a press release.

Malmo FF went yesterday to the third qualifying round of the Champions League after the 1-0 victory against Zalgiris Vilnius.

But now MFF loose keeper crisis after Robin Olsen sold PAOK and Azinovic damage when Johan Wiland today announced.

– It feels great to come to a club that invests heavily each year. Malmo FF has won the league two years in a row and also play in Europe, it means a lot to come to a club that bet. I have come up a bit in age but still has the hunger left and I want to continually evolve and I think this is a good step, it says Johan Wiland in a press release.

He returns thus to the Swedish football he left in 2008. Then changed the former national team goalkeeper Elfsborg to FC Copenhagen where there were more than 200 matches.

– I would not say that my style has changed, but I have only become more experienced along the way. I feel that I have higher highs nowadays and a higher minimum level, and it is well thanks to my routine, says 34-year old goalkeeper.



Can debut this weekend

Wiland training with the MFF is already today ready for play for this weekend’s match against GIF Sundsvall on Saturday. The contract is

written up to 2017.

– Johan is a very experienced and complete goalkeeper who will help a lot with its quality and routine. He is competitive and has shown a great desire to come to Malmö FF, says sports director Daniel Andersson.
