Crisis in the Premier Division club – Hammarström back – Aftonbladet

Gothenburg has stood with only one goalkeeper in recent weeks.

Now the club has found a solution. Former national team goalkeeper Kristin Hammarström making a comeback.

– I have not left the football completely, and it would be appropriate, I would certainly be able to stand any match, she told the club’s website.

In the summer of 2013 watched Kristin Hammarström the Swedish goal in the European Championship tournament that ended with a semi-final place.

It was also the last season as a 33-year-old played at the highest level before she la of the winter 2014.

“Obviously, to set up”

But now, a year and a half later, she makes a comeback in Kopparberg Gothenburg.

This is when the regular goalkeeper Loes Geurts, Netherlands country team keeper, injured himself in training and the club now has been without reserve goalkeeper behind 18-year-old Fanny Lund.

– I still have a big heart for the club and in this situation was it is obvious for me to set up, says Kristin Hammarström to the club’s website.

Short contracts

The agreement extends as long as Geurts is damaged, then cancel the goalie’s comeback.

– I had three fantastic years in Gothenburg and still feel strongly about the club. The idea is that I’ll be back up to Fanny, she’s really good and hopefully I will not have to step into the goal. What I have seen of Fanny has impressed me, she has the most to go far as a

goalkeeper.

Gothenburg is the closest to Linköping on Thursday.
