The Real Madrid has made clear with a new keeper. The Spanish club made earlier of the club icon Iker Casillas and recruits now in Francisco “Kiko” Casilla.
Casilla connecting from La Liga rival Espanyol but he has previously spent several years in the Real Madrid youth academy.
– It was a unique opportunity that I had to take. I am grateful for everything that Espanyol have done for me, Casilla said at a press conference today.
The 28-year-old made his debut in the Spanish national team in November when he jumped into a practice international against Germany.
Replaced – and replaces – Casillas
Casilla replaced when Iker Casillas – the man he replaces at Real Madrid.
Real announced last week that the club icon Casillas will leave the Spanish capital after 16 years of faithful service. Casillas has moved on to Porto.
Casilla will fight for playing time at Real with Keylor Navas. Recruiting
