MFF further in the CL when the 16-year-old made his debut – Aftonbladet

Marko Johansson past 16 years, put the name of the memory.

He had to jump in Malmo FF when the goalkeeper Zlatan Azinovic broke down in 50 minutes.

Johansson was then zero and became a hero when the MFF won 1-0 away against Zalgiris Vilnius and went ahead in the Champions League qualifiers.

Malmo FF got just 0-0 at home against the Lithuanian Zalgiris Vilnius in the qualifying game for the Champions League last week.

But during Tuesday night went much better when the MFF won 1-0 away from home.

Large game hero was Anton Tinnerholm and 16-year-old goalkeeper Marko Johansson.

Since Robin Olsen left the MFF earlier this summer has Zlatan Azinovic taken over as the first goalkeeper in the club.

However, tonight’s match, he got a good bang after 50 minutes and had to start with an injury.

The deputy? 16-year-old Marko Johansson, who never made a first-team match for the MFF.

He was with his understudy the second youngest goalkeeper ever to play a Champions League match with his 16 years and 330 days.

Just Pyunik Yerevan Edel was younger when he in 2002 played when he was 16 years and 37 days.

Tinnerholm game hero

It would be easy to believe that Johansson would be nervous, but he looked as calm himself and was also involved in the MFF’s objectives.

Five minutes after he arrived, he took down a half-hassle post and then set a new attack quickly.

The ball reached Anton Tinnerholm who pulled off a shot with his left foot just outside the penalty area and the ball is ruled by a home player into the goal and MFF got the all-important away goal.

After the needed Zalgiris Vilnius do two goals to have a chance to move on, but they were unable to create some really hot chances against young Johansson.

With ten minutes left also got Samir Kerla red card for the home team.

The MFF should, however, have scored more goals, including Erdal Rakip come up alone at the end, but he chipped it off.

It was then no more

goals and MFF could advance with a total of 1-0.

Now wait Salzburg

Bo Petersson, an expert on Viasat think that Malmo deserved to go further.

– This win means so much to Malmo. I think that Malmo was the better team in home meeting, and now fixes it to this with a good effort, he said.

In the next round are now waiting for the Red Bull Salzburg MFF also encountered in last year’s qualifiers to group stage.

The time went Swedes ahead with a total of 4-2 and it remains to be seen if they can repeat the feat again this year.

To Win the MFF where wait an additional qualifying round before possibly await group stage again.
