Leisure base Björn Eriksson was today elected new Chairman of the Swedish Sports Confederation, then Lars Liljegren pulled out. Björn Eriksson succeeds Karin Mattsson Weijber who spent ten years in the post.
The Swedish Sports Meeting went on Nomination line and chose Björn Eriksson as the new Chairman. His only rival candidate, Stockholm successor Lars Liljegren, President of the Swedish Fencing Federation, withdrew his
candidacy just before the meeting should have their say.
