The winner of the Elite race in 2015 called Magic Tonight – Who the hell thought it?

A couple of weeks ago, he was not even a hot talking point for the Elite race. Now he is the winner of the world’s biggest sprint. Unlikely is the wrong word, but surprisingly fit well.

Two months ago he sent jingles for both right and left in the Norwegian television. Something very few coaches would do. Most trainers are – at least decent friends – with each other.

Walmann not care like that. And now he is the winner of the Elite race. It’s not too

bad.

is superior when it comes

The driver, Örjan Kihlström, is by far the best once it comes. Few – if any – can have such contact with the horse. Örjan know, virtually always, exactly how much forces present in the animal. He himself is the most and directs as if he was the conductor of a choir. It is amazing to see.

Last year he won the Prix dAmerique. 2003 he won the Elite race with From Above . In between, he has won everything there is to win on Swedish soil. And even in Europe and the US for that matter. The only thing you can miss by Örjan’s feelings and self-confidence.

Moved to tears

Or by the way: When the Maharajah was thanked by at Solvalla during Sunday and audience acclaimed him as the king he is able Orjan not hold back the tears and emotions. It says little about the track, the horse has sat at the super driver.

But: this text is not about Maharajah – it’s about Magic Tonight. Last year he lined up huge efforts over the short distance at this time of year.

Next year I hope to see Billie de Montfort in the Elite race. A four year old mare I’m totally in love with. The impression the mare did – it gave the whole E-stands jaw-dropping.
