It was double gold for the MAI first day at the relay championships in Sollentuna.
The ladies won, as expected, the 4 × 100 m while the guys took back the top of the sprint throne again after six years by winning the 4 × 100 m.
The 17-year-old talent Austin Hamilton, who is with the men’s national team relay bet against the Olympics in Rio, started on the first leg. Hedge veteran Philip Nossmy took over and exchanged over the length of specialist Thobias Nilsson Montler. Nick Ekelund Arenander finished.
The winning time was 40.92 and the margin to just over four tenths to Ullevi.
– A little bad start but I got a good start and then the run felt good. Funny that we won, ‘said Austin Hamilton.
Now there is no direct newcomer in the industry. He has two silver in the 4 × 100 m before and individually SM bronze in 100 m and 60 m indoors. In addition, two gold in the mixed relay 4 × 100 m.
Philip Nossmy among the more seasoned. This was his fifteenth championships, ten individual.
The MAI ladies would win was not a bigger bang. Winning time 45.48, just over seconds worse than last year, but was still half a second ahead of second tramway.
– Really nice that it was gold. It felt good, everything flowed. But unfortunately it was very cold and windy so therefore became time is not the best. Though we are very pleased, said Daniella Busk.
She ran the third leg. Teammate Irene Ekelund began, Linnea Killander ran the second leg and 400 Specialist Josefin Magnusson finished. She is back again after an injury during the indoor season.
– It feels good but a little nervous to be back. This was the first race since Finnkampen last year.
There will be both Busk and Magnusson at the 4 × 400 m Sunday’s finish.
– We have absolutely medal chance so we are aiming for. Have not very good track of other teams so difficult to say if it can suffice to gold, said Busk.
– I’ll run both the 400m and 4 × 100m K2 immediately after. So it will be a tight schedule.

Once he was over 64 meters and profit 64.67 was just two centimeters from Perset and gave a fine fifth place in the competition. World Cup Qualifying limit is 65 meters and it will certainly during the season too. The profit level seems stable for a trip to the World Cup in Beijing this summer.
It was more MAI in Halle. For 22-year-olds JEM in Tallinn can probably Marinda Petersson feel quite confident after five throws over the standard 62 meter sledgehammer and two additionally over 65 with 65.67 best. Seventh best in Sweden through the ages in the hammer throw. A future of hope!
