Ovechkin wants to play the World Cup – Metro

Alexander Ovechkin promised to come to the Ice Hockey World Championship of Russia defeated Sweden in the quarter-finals – which was also the case.

The Russian super striker is available since Washington lost the deciding Stanley Cup quarterfinal against the NY Rangers.

Now everything indicates that he goes to Prague to participate in the semi-final against the United States.

– Today we play against Sweden, then we will register Ovechkin. Under normal circumstances, he will fly to Prague in the evening, said Russia’s general manager Andrei Safranov to Russian journalists on Thursday.

Alexander Ovechkin has won three World Championship gold medal with Russia, in 2008, 2012 and 2014.
