Christian Lindell won his first match in the Grand Slam context. In the qualifiers for the French Championships beating the 23-year-old tennis player, on the 200th place in the global rankings, the Russian Aslan Karatsev, ranked 167 a. Setsiffrorna was 7-6, 4-6, 7-5.
Lindell need to win two more matches on the gravel at Roland Garros to enter the main tournament next week.
Even Elias Ymir, 19, is ready for the second qualifying round after the
6-3, 1-6, 6-2 against Italian Roberto Marcora.
