Unbeaten Murray has had enough – Helsingborgs Dagblad

– I trained 40 minutes in the morning and was pretty exhausted afterwards. There have been three very long weeks, the longest on clay in his career, Murray said.

After the final triumph against Rafael Nadal in Madrid decided Murray late to play in Rome. He defeated the Frenchman Jérémy Chardy in straight sets on Wednesday but could not take on Belgian David Goffin.

– It was not just about today’s match but if the rest of the tournament. And further on the risk of becoming ill and missed five, six, seven days, Murray said.

Even Serena Williams jumps off the tournament. The American has problems with his elbow, and do not want to take any risks before the French Championships.
