Cagliari still had a small chance to secure a new Series A contracts.

But then needed victory for Albin Ekdal’s team in the Swedish meeting against Quaisons Palermo.

Franco Vazquez scored the only goal as Palermo won in Sardinia 1-0.

Quaison and Ekdal played

The two Swedes Robin Quaison in Palermo and Albin Ekdal played from the start and for the latter was the match in every 90 minutes.

The former AIK player also got him play 90 minutes but saw himself replaced in the lead after the final stage.

The 21-year-old took a long time as he left the field to be replaced by Bentivegna – prompting

Cagliarispelarna to react with anger.

Palermo stays

The loss means that said that Cagliari are playing in Serie B next season.

Palermo can however look back on a successful season.

Sicilienlaget will end on a central location – after an incredible fall with thunder talent Paulo Dybala at the front of the head.

The Argentine has however received less playing time after that everything started to indicate that he is leaving the club this summer.

The club’s infamous president, Maurizio Zamparini, has previously said that 21-year-old will play for Palermo again.
