Platini: I asked Blatter to resign – Swedish Radio

The Fifa-base Sepp Blatter is aiming to be re-elected as chairman. But now more and more voices that want to Blatter to resign after the recent scandals within the international football association.

Today, said Uefa’s President Michel Platini that he urged Blatter to resign.

– I asked to speak with him but he said I would say what I had to say to the others. Then I asked him to resign, said Platini at a press conference.

Platini also threatened that UEFA would withdraw from Fifa.

– We will have a meeting in Berlin and talk about all the possibilities. I

really hope not that we will withdraw from, said Platini.

In the morning, FIFA will hold its electing the Chairman.
