The Swede lost four straight sets against Chinese Mu Zi. She did well in the first two sets as she lost almost 12-10 and 13-11. The two remaining sets won Chinese is however clear, 11-5, 11-3.
“After losing the first two sets, I started playing too hard and too hard. To play with a high tempo does not suit me but it suits her so I should have dared to stay in my own game with variety of screw, pace and placement, said Matilda Ekholm afterwards to the Swedish tennis federation website.

The coach Anders Johansson agreed and also thought that Matilda had a little less exertion than before matches which he believed influenced accuracy in the game.
“Matilda had a good period of 3-9 in the first set to 7-3 in the second. She had needed to be at that level throughout the match when she had the quality of what she did so had Mu Zi difficult to answer. Where it really felt like we had her, “says Johansson according tennis federation.

Two heavy regular setförluster for Matilda came errors in the following two sets. The third was the underdog and 1-6 loss 5-11 and in the fourth even a bad start, 1-7 who was 3-11.
