Ekelund ready for semi – Aftonbladet

Stockholm / Zurich. Irene Ekelund, 17, is ready for the semifinals in the 200 meters.

Super Talent finished fourth in his preliminary heat with a time 23.38 – equaled seasonal best.

– I feel like I have a little more to give, she says.

Irene Ekelund, 17, said before the European Championship that she felt worn out:

– I’ve been living out of a suitcase all summer, it’s a little dicey. You’re not complaining, but at the end of the season when there are only three races to go, you start to feel a bit tired.

But none of it was noticeable in the morning’s preliminary heat. Irene Ekelund Spang controlled and finished fourth in the race, which means advancement to the semifinals.

– She did exactly as she would, says coach Niclas Broström at TV4.

“Just to catch up “

– It felt like it rolled on well so it was nice, says Irene Ekelund.

You came out that four out of the curve with three runners quite clearly in front of you, it is stressful

– No, it’s just to hang on and try to catch up with them. There is experimental and you know you have to come in the top four to advance.

The semifinals will begin at 19:42 in the evening.

– I take it quiet until then and hits my family who came here yesterday.
