Prior to the start of SHL-season Växjö has been a joy vengeance.

The head coach Sam Hallam extends, until by 2018.

– When Henry asked if I wanted to stay, I wanted to solve it directly, says Hallam himself.

Sam Hallam came to Växjö in 2012 and since then the club has had great success on the ice. In the year mentioned Växjö as a potential winner of winning the gold medal and before the season ensures now the future with coach for another four years.

“incredibly happy”

Hallam, whose last contract went out after the season, has signed a new three-year contract and is thus left to 2018, says the club on its website.

– Instead of rushing with this during the season when we have so many other decisions to take as it feels good to solve this now. We are extremely happy and excited that we and Sam have found a common way forward, says the club’s sporting director Henrik Evertsson.

never hesitated

Sam Hallam says there never was any doubt about the decision to extend.

– From my side, it was an easy decision. When Henry asked if I wanted to stay, I wanted to solve it directly. I like it here. I have a great leadership team and we are able to balance hard work, focus and having fun together. Since the compound is incredibly professionally managed, you are constantly moving forward, says Hallam himself on the club’s website.
