Hammarby of public success: “Should not be possible” – Swedish radio

Hammarby is the law in the north that draws the most crowds, and tonight’s game is sold out. This means that over 30,000 people will see the summit against Ljungskile.

– Above all, it has to do with Hammarby has many supporters. But then we have sporting successes this year and a future. Since it is clear that the new arena will take a lot of people and the venue itself draws crowds, says the Hammarby CEO Henrik Lund Kind.

You are the most crowd pulling team in Scandinavia. Surprise you?

– A little bit so doing it is of course. Since we are located in the Premier League so it should not be possible. But Hammarby and its history along with the new arena means that we are in the top. And it’s great fun.

What does this mean for the club financially?

– We are doing a much better result than budgeted. It has given us the opportunity to strengthen the squad and organization. It’s not just in the short term as this is positivit, but we see that we increase our publikbas which we will greatly benefit from in the future.

Is your audience better than the team?

– Given that our audience is absolutely the best Europe class, you get to say that so far it is. We have of course the ambition to move us up sporting over time, but right now so dominate the audience, says Cheek Lund.

Hammarby faced Ljungskile at 18:20 and you can hear the game in its entirety on the web radio and aplikationen SR play.
