Simple for gold swimmer – Swedish Dagbladet

This meant no problem for Sarah Sjostrom and Michelle Coleman Swim Championships. They went ahead with the second and third time from the trials in the 100 meters free.

– I saw them in the dining room last night at 21 o’clock, it is clear that it is not optimal for recovery. It affects, but both have been with before and I thought they did what they could this morning, said the coach Ulrika Sandmark about the long evening after gold in the 4×100 meter free on Monday.

Both won their preliminary heat, Sjostrom had 53.66 and was second overall and Coleman’s 54.05 was enough for the third time. Femke Heemskerk, Netherlands, was fastest in 53.55.

In addition to tonight’s semifinals in the 100 meters free Sjostrom addition finals on 50 meter butterfly where she goes for gold after being by far the fastest in the semifinals on Monday. It gets worse, however stressful when races are decided by a ten-minute intervals.

Jennie Johansson went on to the semifinals, which split four in the 100 meters breaststroke (1.07,83) and Simon Sjödin ninth in the 200 meters individual medley (2:01; 08).
