Emma Green: “Very difficult to get started” – Swedish radio

There were difficult conditions for Emma Green in final height, rain and muddy tracks meant that she did not really dare to press firmly. After passing 1.85 in the first attempt came demolitions of 1.89.

But after two jumps of 1.89 worse lifted it better and Green winning height at the last attempt.

– It was very difficult to get started. Weather and the entire charging and yesterday I woke up with a little sore throat. It was not the feeling that just go in and go but the last jump of 1.89, I managed to find some activity and could attack a bit, so it felt like good activity training for the final, says Emma Green to Radiosporten.

Emma Green has had a lot of problems during the preseason and has only made two competitions for the European Championships. It’s the back that has been struggling for the Swedish language but according to her, she now has no adverse sensations.

– Now your back feel good and I hope that it will do in the afternoon and on Sunday too.

The difficult conditions in qualifying meant that no jumper needed to meet the qualification set to 1 , 94 and since only ten girls survived 1.89 squirmed even those that passed the 1.85 in the first attempt to the final.

High Jump final will take place on Sunday.
