The Barclays: sank like a stone (son) – Web Gate

Henrik Stenson was with and was struck in the top of the leaderboard at The Barclays after two days of play. But during the third day it collapsed completely for the Swede – who was five strokes over par on one (!) Holes.

After two days of play at Ridgewood Country Club, Henrik Stenson just two strokes behind the leading duo after a nice round seven strokes under par. The pursuit continued on Saturday and it started well with a birdie followed by two pairs of holes.

But on the fourth hole, something happened to Stenson. It took nine strokes before he got the ball in the cup, which was why he went five (!) Strokes over par on the hole. The Swede followed that up with a birdie, but then lined up four straight bogeys on holes six to nine, and then another bogey on the twelfth hole.

He ended the day on 77 kinds in total, a full six strokes over par. Disaster Round Stenson had to drop 55 placements in the leaderboard on a shared 61st place, nine strokes behind the leading duo Jason Day Jim Furyk.
